Perfectly Simple Brussel Sprouts

Brussel Sprouts are one of my favorite veggies, there is just something about them. I didn’t love Brussel Sprouts until I learned how to cook them. After that, I couldn’t get enough.

Today I am sharing with you my favorite way to cook Brussel Sprouts, it is simple and delicious!

Let’s Get Started

Perfectly Simple Brussel Sprouts

INGREDIENTS

  • About 3 cups of whole fresh Brussel Sprouts
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon of garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cracked black pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. To start off preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Next, bring a large pot of water to a boil while you cut each Brussel Sprout into halves.
  3. When the water is boiling, pour all of the Brussel Sprouts into the pot and let them boil until they turn bright green (this will only take a minute or two). When they are vibrant pour them into a strainer and spread them in an oven safe baking dish or pan.
  4. Drizzle your olive oil and seasonings and mix thoroughly. Place them into the oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  5. Take them out of the oven and serve immediately! Enjoy!

DIRECTIONS

  1. First off, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Next you are going to wash and chop up your Crimini mushrooms, I cut the mushrooms into thick slivers. Once they are chopped add them into a cast iron pan (If you don’t have one add them to a skillet, and then transfer to an oven safe dish when you bake them).
  3. Finely chop your sage and add it to the pan, along with your salt and pepper, cloves of garlic (I left mine whole) and olive oil.
  4. Turn your burner onto medium heat and sauté lightly until your mushrooms are golden brown. This took me about 5 minutes.
  5. Once they have caramelized a bit place them into the oven for 2o minutes at 35o degrees F(175 degrees C).
  6. Once they are ready you can serve them however, I usually put them on top of mash potatoes! YUM!

Hope you enjoy this recipe it really is so easy but very flavorful! It will brighten up any dinner!

Happy Cooking!
